Hi, I’m Wouter Masselink, born on January 29, 1992, in Amsterdam and raised in Lelystad. Despite a turbulent childhood, one thing that stayed with me was a deep sense of creativity, nurtured by my parents, and it took many forms—especially photography.
At just 12 years old, my father introduced me to the world of photography by taking me to a local photography club. It wasn’t long before I was learning about ISO settings, shutter speeds, and aperture values, immersing myself in the technical side of the art. During high school, I experimented with video creation on YouTube for a short time, but my focus shifted away from photography when my father left the photography club.
For a time, my passion took a back seat as life got busy. With the birth of my first son, moving into a bigger home, and the arrival of my second son, family became my main priority. But now that my family life has found a stable rhythm, I feel the pull of my passion for photography and filming once again. Whether it’s capturing people, animals, or nature, I see potential everywhere and enjoy transforming those moments into something special.
I’m constantly driven by a hunger to explore new perspectives, and I’m always learning—especially when it comes to photo and video editing. Self-taught in many areas of digital media, I take pride in staying up-to-date with new techniques and innovations.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 gave me the chance to reconnect with my passion on a deeper level, and now I’m fully committed to pursuing it professionally.
Feel free to reach out—I’d be thrilled to take on your project!
